Q: How do I create a new notification?
A: Click the "+ Add Notification" button, fill in the title, description, select recipients (Parents), set priority (HIGH/MEDIUM), and expiry date. Save as draft or publish directly.
Q: What's the difference between HIGH and MEDIUM priority?
A: HIGH priority notifications are marked in red and appear more prominently — use for urgent announcements like emergency closures. MEDIUM is for regular updates like holiday notices.
Q: Can I edit a published notification?
A: Yes! Click the edit icon (✏️) to modify any notification. You can also unpublish it, make changes, and republish when ready.
Q: What happens when a notification expires?
A: Expired notifications are automatically marked with an "Expired" tag. They remain in your records but are no longer actively shown to parents. You can track them in the Expired count.
Q: How do Payment Notifications work?
A: When parents make payments, you receive a notification in the Payment Notifications panel. You can verify the transaction and mark it as confirmed. This integrates with the Fee Structure module.
Q: Can I send notifications to specific groups only?
A: Yes! When creating a notification, select the target recipients — you can send to all parents, specific classes, staff members, or everyone. This ensures relevant information reaches the right people.
